Since we were resting at the peak of the season, the search for a car began about a week before departure to Montenegro. And everywhere there was one answer - sorry we don’t have available car ... After I left a request for Toyota Yaris at localcarhires.com, the site accepted it, reserved about 65 euros from my card (15% of the rental cost). I was glad that the search was finally successful. But it was not there) Christina, the manager of the local operator, contacted me and said that there were no cars already available for my time. I was upset, I thought that it was a divorce and that I could no longer see the 65 euros debited from the card ... We entered into communication with Christina. She was looking for a way out, gave different proposals. And most importantly, I was not sent. Christina was almost always in contact, even at 21-22 pm. As a result, Christina found a Skoda Fabia, but 3 days later than I needed. Not at a loss, upon arrival in Kotor, I found an advertisement on the street about renting a scooter. And while we were waiting for our car, we rode along the coast of the Bay of Kotor on it) Looking ahead, I will say that the car was very useful when traveling to the mountains, moving from Kotor to Budva and over long distances. And for trips along the coast, a scooter was perfect. Plus, keep in mind that everything is very tight with car parking in Montenegro. Narrow streets, huge traffic jams, few parking lots, and it's almost impossible to park on the coast. Getting a car. The car was delivered to the place indicated by me and on time (delivery service costs 20 euros). The paperwork process took 5 minutes. The friendly manager showed everything quickly, filled out the form and that's it, the car is at my disposal. Everything was quick, easy and convenient. The car corresponded to the descriptions, specifications stated on the website and was in excellent condition. And most importantly, full payment could be made upon the return of the car. Compared to renting a car, for example, in Hertz, where you need to go to their office, wait in line, they will take out your brain with a bunch of forms, documents, extra. payments for late return, prepayments, etc., everything here was as comfortable as possible. Car return. We agreed that I will return the car a few hours later than the contractual deadline, at the Tivat airport. No extras payments were not taken from me. I returned it, paid for it and flew home. By the way, it was not possible to pay by card, it is more convenient for local people if payments are made in cash. The apotheosis was that he had expired documents (car registration card). On the day of the car delivery, we went to Lustica to swim. But they didn't get there. Half the way, we were stopped by the police, where they had to deal with this. As a result, the policemen took my passport and sent me to pay the fine to Tivat, to the post office, and after payment to the police station, where we waited with this receipt for my passport to be brought. The money for the fine, the guys in the evening, when they took the car, was returned to me. But the sediment remained, as I wanted to spend this day on the beach, on a sun lounger in a beautiful bay, and not in the police station. Moreover, there is no fault of ours in this ... As for everything else. If you do not take into account the breakdown of this car, then it justified itself. I liked the machine. It has a high ground clearance and a powerful engine for its mass (2.0 turbo diesel). She saved us, climbed up where the original Peugeot, as if dead. We were deceived by the navigator in the mountains and had to climb on gravel, almost up a vertical hill, he did not disappoint. As a result, mixed feelings remained. On the one hand, there are moments that are upsetting, on the other hand, there is a machine that I just sincerely feel sorry for. If you do it and invest a little, it will delight a bunch of clients (only 168 thousand have passed, unless, of course, the mileage is twisted). For a German, this is nonsense, not a run. But she is not wonderfully exploited, and apparently repaired, then when she just gets up and does not go. I looked at the oil level in the engine, just to be sure, it is there, but everything is black. Although according to the tags that the services leave, the replacement was in June. It was in June that he ran out of his registration card. For which I paid the fine. Conclusion - no one has changed anything, so it's sad. Really quick response. Ordered car in the evenings to get car in next day in the morning and they responded within hour. We got better car then We ordered for same money. Car was scratched and not in best visual shape but I don’t care because technically everything was ok. Really easy to communicate and comparing with big car rental companies they don’t try to get extra money, don’t charge any penalties etc for anything that you haven’t done. I will use this car rental again if I will return to Montenegro.
